Back in ’09, my friend, Denise Williams of Peoples Bank, and I formed the Executive Women of LKN group. For a while I served as the Speaker/Education Coordinator for the group. I was mostly responsible for introducing the speakers, which I thought would be pretty easy since I’m usually comfortable speaking casually in front of groups. I found out that giving a professional presentation in a structured setting is a little different.
I realized over time it would be advantageous to take a “public speaking” workshop.
