This one-day program empowers and educates Executives and Managers to create, maintain and implement a high-performing team.

Teamwork is essential to productivity and accomplishment in the workplace – yet the pathway to creating a business environment that consistently fosters teamwork, collaboration and trust is very often unclear. In order for teambuilding, collaboration and trust to emerge, leaders and managers must learn how to provide authentic communication that is focused on the real concerns of their organization.

Program Benefits of Teamwork Essentials for Executives and Managers:

Ø  The necessary elements and foundations for teamwork

Ø  The necessary ingredients for creating and managing a high-performing team

Ø  Revealing and overcoming barriers to communication and teamwork

Ø  Shifting focus and energy to real organizational concerns and away from “personalities”

Ø  Dealing effectively with limiting attitudes

Ø  How individuals benefit personally from a commitment to group accomplishment

Ø  Building the trust necessary for being successful as a team

Ø  Making sure people know they make a difference

Ø  Exploring new horizons for action and performance

This program is designed specifically for executives and managers because we’ve all learned that leaders have a profound and deep impact on the culture and environment of their enterprise. Without new ideas and new “learnings”, leaders tend to steer their organization in directions that are undesirable. They see behavior in their organization they don’t understand, and end up with results and outcomes that are below their standards, goals and values.

Incredibly, leaders often experience being at the effect of what they themselves have created. When this occurs, leaders often report a lack of executive team cohesiveness and alignment, people in their organization they aren’t sure how to empower, and requisite results that are below goals and promises.

Program Synopsis: We begin with illuminating and distinguishing the power of teamwork. Then participants describe what it is like working together in their organization. The techniques we use allow them to safely say what needs to be said. From this discussion, any issues blocking communication and teamwork are revealed. These issues include personality conflicts, political infighting, departmental strife, stress related to budgets and down-sizing, takeovers, management changes, rapid expansion and growth.

We explore the relationship between teamwork and performance in a manner that helps participants recognize and own counterproductive ways of being, speaking and listening, and demonstrate communication methods that enhance performance. Some counterproductive ways of being and listening include not saying what one has to say, gossiping, listening for what’s wrong instead of what’s right, and/or being complacent or resigned.

Participants also engage in exercises that explore what it would take them to operate with authentic integrity and responsibility. We distinguish the power of taking a stand and honoring one’s word.

The last part of the workshop is designed to build long-lasting trust. Participants focus on the strengths of each team member, and are trained to speak and listen in ways that impact performance and produce action.
