The U Center Beginning
The U Center idea was born several years ago, a small seed which grew into a more complex vision to serve local small businesses. After selling their business of 10+ years which left their two-unit facility vacant, Nicole knew just how to utilize their empty space. Offer a unique affordable office opportunity for small businesses in need office space and support services, such as marketing and specialized meeting space for customers and the community.
Nicole began to convert their vacant two-unit facility in Mooresville, N.C., into a small business utopia , The U Center – offering affordable upscale office/meeting space with a menu of amenities to exceed their clients (and the community’s) expectations. Hence, The U Center was born.
Before starting The U Center, Nicole served as Vice President of Safety Solutions, a company she co-founded with her husband, a renowned safety expert. In her role with the company, she honed her business and marketing expertise/prowess, working to build the well-respected Safety Solutions brand for occupant safety restraints for all types of racing, before selling the business to Simpson Performance Company in late 2010.
As Speaker/Education Coordinator for the Executive Women of Lake Norman Group, she sharpened her skills in finding qualified speakers that would provide valuable information to the group and now applies those skills to The U Center – offering professional development resources and references for The U Center members, their clients and the business community.
Nicole has a degree in Fashion Design and spent her first years out of college employed in many areas of the fashion industry, where she gained many skills she attributes to having today, such as her customer service, industrial manufacturing, marketing and management skills to name a few. She is well-known nationally within the racing industry, as well as locally among business professionals.
